"Flashback: ‘Gain of Function’ documentary"

It seems clear, at least to thinking people, that Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to Congress when he was called out by Senator Rand Paul.  It is also clear that there is a great deal of evidence, including Fauci's email dump, that he is desperately trying to cover his tracks. But let's take a look back into the history of "Gain of Function" research. Clearly mad scientists have been doing this kind of research for decades. We need to ask ourselves "Why?". Do we buy their justifications? Or do we instead allow ourselves to question whether or not there is something else going on here?  Do we believe what the scientists said in the past? Or do we believe what they are telling us now? Are they telling the truth now, or is it propaganda used to cover up their mistakes? Let's listen to their own words.

Fauci's Bioweapons!

There is indeed a great deal of evidence, if you follow the money, so to speak, of Dr. Fauci's involvement in the Wuhan lab as well as "gain of function" research. Gain of function in laymen's terms is research done to investigate how a virus jumps from one species to another over time and in certain conditions. Let's take a look at how Dr. Fauci was involved in this.

Praying Citizen compiled the following list:

1. North Carolina Dr. Ralph Baric and Chinese Dr. Shi Zhengli were working on a bat and coronavirus project in 2014 that proved so dangerous, it was shut down and defunded by the Department of Homeland Security under Obama after a series of lab accidents involving pathogens at CDC headquarters in Georgia.
2. The research then moved to the Wuhan Institute, focusing on species-to-species transmission.
3. The official funding and authorization of gain-of-function coronavirus research were restarted in 2015, by Dr. Fauci or another NIH director. They used a loophole exempting certain experiments when "research is urgently necessary to protect the public health or national security."
4. In 2017 a SARS virus escaped from a high-security Chinese research center that resulted in the deaths of several people, but that did not stop ongoing research. As we reported at the time, the Wuhan Institute was advertising in February 2020 for scientists to join a study of bat migration and virus transmission.

"Although Fauci denied the allegations over and over, evidence to the contrary is easily obtained, including Wuhan's funding, through a third party called EcoHealth Alliance. This non-profit received $61 million in grants through various federal agencies, which they doled out to the Wuhan Institute and other researchers."

• Trump had long claimed that the Wuhan theory for COVID-19 was likely
• Many scientists initially disregarded the theory but are now accepting it
• Supporters of the investigation insisted it was genuine and well executed
• Biden's team in February or March decided to end their research
• The Wuhan theory is gaining traction: Trump Tuesday said he felt vindicated
