Senator Rand Paul and Dr. Anthony Fauci engaged in a heated debate during questioning as part of a Senate hearing on U.S. pandemic response. During the exchange it is clear to me that Fauci lied through his teeth. After doing a deep dive I discovered myself that the NIH does and has spent millions of dollars on research at the Wuhan lab some of which was "gain of function" research.
There is indeed a great deal of evidence if you follow the money, so to speak, of Dr. Fauci's involvement in the Wuhan lab as well as "gain of function" research. Gain of function in laymen's terms is research done to investigate how a virus jumps from one species to another over time and in certain conditions. Lets take a look at how Dr. Fauci was involved in this.
- North Carolina Dr. Ralph Baric and Chinese Dr. Shi Zhengli were working a bat and coronavirus project in 2014 that proved so dangerous, it was shut down and defunded by the Department of Homeland Security under Obama after a series of lab accidents involving pathogens at CDC headquarters in Georgia.
- The research then moved to the Wuhan Institute, focusing on species-to-species transmission.
- The official funding and authorization of gain-of-function corona virus research was restarted in 2015, by Dr. Fauci or another NIH director. They used a loophole exempting certain experiments when "research is urgently necessary to protect the public health or national security."
- In 2017 a SARS virus escaped from a high security Chinese research center that resulted in the deaths of several people, but that did not stop ongoing research. As we reported at the time, the Wuhan Institute was advertising in February 2020 for scientists to join a study of bat migration and virus transmission.
"Although Fauci denied the allegations over and over, evidence to the contrary is easily obtained, including Wuhan's funding, through a third party called EcoHealth Alliance. This non-profit received $61 million in grants through various federal agencies, which they doled out to the Wuhan Institute and other researchers."
The connections between Fauci's NiAID and the Chinese Communist Party is extremely troubling. The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX was funded by the NIAID because Fauci designated it as one of the ten centers for studying emerging infectious diseases. This research is run by several members of the CCP and was granted 82 million dollars in 2020 alone.
From the NIH website:
"Each Center in the network will involve collaborations with peer institutions in the United States and 28 other countries. Research projects will include surveillance studies to identify previously unknown causes of febrile illnesses in humans; find the animal sources of viral or other disease-causing pathogens; and determine what genetic or other changes make these pathogens capable of infecting humans. CREID investigators also will develop reagents and diagnostic assays to improve detection of emerging pathogens and study human immune responses to new or emerging infectious agents. Overall, the breadth of research projects in the CREID network will allow for study of disease spillover in multiple phases of the process: where pathogens first emerge from an animal host; at the borders between wild and more populated areas, where human-to-human transmission occurs; and, finally, in urban areas, where epidemic spread can occur."
The highlighted section above is actually "gain of function" research. Also how are they studying "human immune responses to new or emerging infectious agents"?
A group of virologists as well as others wrote in the Lancet on February 19, 2020;
"We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin."
The problem with this statement is the obvious conflict of interest since the letter was organized and drafted by none other than Peter Daszak, president of the EcoHealth Alliance of N.Y. Peter Daszak's name appears on the list of scientists funded under the NIH, (see the link above).
A second statement released by Kristian G. Andersen of the Scripps Research Institute, further influenced public opinion;
"Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus."
Again, his name and the research institute he is connected to are listed under those funded by the NIH.
Older methods of research known as "cutting and pasting" leave obvious signs that the genomes were manipulated but more recent research methods known as "no see ums" or seamless research leaves no trace. So in essence Dr. Kristian Andersen and his colleagues are making statements that they have no idea if in fact, are correct.
Also there is this title and information that come straight from the NIH:
"The genetic structure of SARS-CoV-2 does not rule out a laboratory origin: SARS-COV-2 chimeric structure and furin cleavage site might be the result of genetic manipulation".
Needless to say Fauci and many others have much to lose should it be revealed that they are tied to "gain of function" research that could have caused the mutation of SARS COV2. In fact as Senator Rand Paul has said, Fauci and others could be criminally responsible for the release of the virus that caused the COVID 19 pandemic.
Nicholas Wade, a science researcher, has this to say:
"Virologists like Dr. Daszak had much at stake in the assigning of blame for the pandemic. For 20 years, mostly beneath the public's attention, they had been playing a dangerous game. In their laboratories they routinely created viruses more dangerous than those that exist in nature. They argued they could do so safely, and that by getting ahead of nature they could predict and prevent natural "spillovers," the cross-over of viruses from an animal host to people. If SARS2 had indeed escaped from such a laboratory experiment, a savage blowback could be expected, and the storm of public indignation would affect virologists everywhere, not just in China. "It would shatter the scientific edifice top to bottom," an MIT Technology Review editor, Antonio Regalado, said in March 2020." You can find his article and website here.
Dr. Richard H. Ebright, Ph.D., is Board of Governors Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University and Laboratory Director at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology. He directs a laboratory of approximately fifteen postdoctoral associates, graduate students, and technicians and serves as project leader on two National Institutes of Health research grants and is among many world scientists who have called for an unbiased international investigation into the origins of the pandemic and the SARS COV2 virus. Regarding Daszak's statements that he has no conflicts of interest Dr. Ebright stated that "it would be hard to imagine a more brazen lie."
Finally, Newsweek did an article on Dr. Fauci's NIAID funding "gain of function" research.
"But just last year, the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the organization led by Dr. Fauci, funded scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for work on gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses.
"In 2019, with the backing of NIAID, the National Institutes of Health committed $3.7 million over six years for research that included some gain-of-function work. The program followed another $3.7 million, 5-year project for collecting and studying bat coronaviruses, which ended in 2019, bringing the total to $7.4 million."
The bottom line is, of course, that Dr. Fauci was telling bald face lies in that Senate hearing and he knows it. He attempted to use spin and language he doesn't think the rest of us understand to get around the questions Senator Rand Paul asked him. There is now a call by some in congress for the firing of Dr. Fauci and I think that would be an appropriate first step. I also believe that Fauci and those connected to this funding, including Daszak, must be held criminally liable, and lastly we should cease funding the Chinese labs, and kick all CCP scientists out of the United States for good.
A tangible sign of Republicans' discontent with the Biden administration's management of the COVID-19 pandemic has emerged with a GOP-led effort to fire Dr. Anthony Fauci.
As the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci has served as a White House adviser on COVID-19 under President Joe Biden as well as former President Donald Trump.

I always post when I see Sen Paul going full patriot throttle(to please keep in prayer) due to health challenges, damage to his lungs due to a planned attack from his past neighbor who was a bummed out lib with TDS and acted out his vile anger at Senators Home toward Sen Paul.
