Yesterday, Pastor Artur Pawlowski faced the judge for a pair of contempt of court charges, two weeks after his shocking SWAT-style arrest on a wet and busy Calgary highway.
The charges stemmed from two court orders, which Pastor Artur allegedly broke when he held indoor church services in contravention of Alberta’s COVID-19 restrictions on indoor worship.
Justice Adam Germain presided over both hearings as he has for several other high-profile lockdown cases, including Pastor Tim Stephens’ case — the third and most recent pastor jailed in Alberta.
Sarah Miller of JSS Barristers acted as defence for Pastor Artur. As always, she did an extraordinary job during both hearings as she eloquently presented the facts and dismantled the allegations against the pastor.
Even Justice Germain couldn’t help but acknowledge Sarah’s impeccable work — at one point taking a moment to praise her “superb” performance.
